Initially seeks self-preservation and escape, which evolves into a desire to inflict justice on corrupt evil-doers who escape the law.

Begins as a passive, directionless college student tormented by guilt after killing a man in self-defense. Over time, upon discovering his victims were monsters, he abandons his fear, embraces his "gift," and adopts a cold, detached vigilante persona, only to realize the heavy curse of his path.

Uncovering the truth behind unresolved homicides, which morphs into a personal obsession with stopping Tang and confronting Song Chon.

Introduced as an unorthodox, highly perceptive detective driven by gut instinct. As he pursues Tang, his personal life collapses: his father’s dark corrupt past is exposed, his dog dies, and his mentor is murdered. He grows disillusioned with formal law and faces a breakdown between legal duty and revenge.

Proving his moral superiority, exposing police corruption, and eliminating anyone who stands in his way.

A former police officer who was betrayed by his mentor (Nan-gam’s father). He became a brutal serial killer targeting criminals, but unlike Tang, he tortures his victims and forces them to confess. He acts as a warning sign of what Tang could become if consumed by absolute righteousness.

Fulfilling his childhood dream of enabling a real-life superhero to purge society of bad people.

A rich, comic-book-obsessed hacker named "Roh Bin" (a play on Robin). He previously tried to turn Song Chon into a superhero, which ended in failure. Seeing Tang as his true "Batman," he provides tech, money, and logistics, ultimately making the ultimate sacrifice to protect Tang's freedom.
