Resolution of Gongjin's Three Mysteries:
- Du-sik's Missing 5 Years: He worked as an investment manager in Seoul. After a market crash, a security guard (Do-ha's father) lost his life savings and attempted suicide. Driving to assist him, Du-sik's close friend/mentor Jeong-u was killed in a car crash. Du-sik spent years blaming himself for both tragedies.
- Hwa-jeong and Yeon-guk's Divorce: Caused by accumulated miscommunication. Hwa-jeong overheard Yeon-guk saying he married her out of pity rather than love. They reconcile after honest conversations in the final episodes.
- The 1.4 Billion Won Lottery Winner: The quiet police officer, Choi Eun-chul, won the lottery years prior. He kept it quiet and used the funds to secretly make charitable donations.
The Finale (Episode 16): Grandma Gam-ri passes away peacefully in her sleep. Instead of a dreary funeral, the town honors her wishes by hosting a celebratory gathering where they share stories and meals in her memory. Hye-jin decides to decline a lucrative job offer in Seoul, choosing to remain permanently in Gongjin. Both Hye-jin and Du-sik separately plan to propose to each other on the exact same beach where they first met. After sharing a mutual proposal, they celebrate with the entire town, ending the series on a joyful note.
