Initially driven by financial gain from Geu-ru's trust fund, but evolves into protecting Geu-ru and safeguarding the family home.

Begins as an abrasive underground fighter burdened by guilt over his comatose mentee and resentment toward his brother. Through working with Geu-ru, he uncovers the truth behind the 1995 separation, sheds his bitterness, and embraces his role as Geu-ru's permanent guardian.
