By Virgin Soul, set a decade later, Favaro reappears as a seasoned, peg-legged master-swordsman and philosophical mentor to Nina Drango, maintaining his trademark roguish grin while carrying the sorrow of his past.

In Virgin Soul, elevated to Knight Commander of the Orleans Knights, he endures a crushing dilemma: serving a tyrannical human king whose anti-god agenda he questions, while attempting to shield enslaved demons from slaughter, embodying the tragic weight of maintaining nobility in a corrupt system.

In Genesis, Amira appears as a mysterious one-winged figure who stole the God Key from the heavens. Despite possessing catastrophic power, she mentally behaves like a sheltered five-year-old yearning to reach Helheim to reunite with her mother. Her devastating realization that her memories are an engineered lie by the demon Belial/Martinet marks the peak of her tragedy. Ultimately, she chooses to accept her grim fate to seal Bahamut, immortalized by a final romantic kiss shared with Favaro before dissolving.

Introduced in Virgin Soul, Nina is a teenage migrant worker from a clan of dragon-folk who transforms uncontrollably into the legendary Red Dragon upon getting heart-struck by attractive men. Her lighthearted romance with the disguised King Charioce forces her to confront the grim realities of state terror, racial oppression, and the burden of duty. Her journey matures her from a naive village girl into a decisive champion who bridges the mortal and draconic worlds.

Charioce spends Virgin Soul acting as an uncompromising tyrant who enslaves demonkind, plunders the gods' holy sanctuary, and rules through terror to construct the superweapon Dromos. Undercover as the commoner 'Chris,' he experiences genuine connection with Nina. Revealed to be motivated by a resolve to destroy Bahamut permanently and free humanity from eternal divine peril, he pays for his victory with his eyesight, concluding the war stripped of his regal aura to live alongside Nina.
