The Setup (Ep 1): In 2022, Yoon Hyeon-woo manages Soonyang's illicit operations. When sent to Turkey to retrieve a hidden ₩600 billion slush fund, he is betrayed and shot on a cliffside by junior colleague Shin Gyeong-min under secret orders from the Jin family.

The Transmigration & Rise (Ep 2–10): Hyeon-woo awakens in 1987 as Jin Do-jun, the youngest grandson. Knowing the future, he invests in Bundang real estate and Wall Street tech stocks, accumulating billions in cash reserves. Alongside partner Oh Se-hyun at Miracle Investment, he systematically takes down his greedy aunt Jin Hwa-young and uncle Jin Dong-ki during the IMF crisis and stock crashes.

The Delirium & Succession (Ep 11–14): Chairman Jin Yang-chul decides to bypass primogeniture and appoint Do-jun as his heir. Eldest grandson Jin Seong-jun and grandmother Lee Pil-ok attempt to assassinate them via a staged truck accident. Chairman Jin survives but develops acute vascular dementia. Before dying, Chairman Jin leaves Do-jun the hidden offshore slush fund.

The Tragic Reversion (Ep 15): Do-jun buys out his remaining uncle and is elected Chairman of Soonyang Group. While driving to meet Min-young in 2004, another truck t-bones his car, killing him instantly.

The Finale Reckoning (Ep 16): Hyeon-woo wakes up in a hospital bed in 2022, having survived the gunshot wound in Turkey after being rescued by Prosecutor Seo Min-young. He realizes he lived through Do-jun's entire life during his week-long coma. Hyeon-woo reveals that in 2004, when he was a desperate young job-seeker, Soonyang executives positioned his car on the road to act as a decoy shield that blocked Do-jun's vehicle into the kill zone. Hyeon-woo kept the secret recording for twenty years in exchange for a stable job. At the parliamentary hearing, Hyeon-woo releases the audio recording proving Jin Young-ki ordered Do-jun's murder, forcing the entire Jin family to relinquish management control to independent professionals. Hyeon-woo atones, leaving Soonyang behind to work alongside Oh Se-hyun at Miracle.

The series and its ending can be understood through multiple lenses:

• The "Repentance and Penance" Reading: Supported by Hyeon-woo’s closing monologue, this perspective views the 17 years in Do-jun’s body not as a literal physical reincarnation, but as a supernatural or comatose spiritual reckoning. Hyeon-woo was given the lived experience of his victim so that upon waking, he would possess both the evidence and the moral imperative to destroy Soonyang's dynastic hold.
• The "Closed-Loop Predestination" Reading: In this interpretation, the past was always fixed. Do-jun was always destined to be murdered in 2004, and Hyeon-woo was always destined to be the unaware accomplice at the scene. The transmigration was the metaphysical mechanism required to complete the loop, ensuring the Jin family's self-destruction in 2022.
• The Structural Reformist vs. Webtoon Purist Reading: While fans of the original web novel favored individual triumph (Do-jun becoming the enlightened chaebol monarch), the TV series argues that a "good chaebol owner" is an oxymoron. True victory requires removing owner families from operational management entirely and establishing independent governance.
