• The True Nature of Jin Bu-ja: The reanimated corpse Jin Bu-ja (originally Jung Se-ra) was murdered by corrupt associates of the ambitious politician Kang Dae-sung. Later, her rotting body is hijacked by the evil priestess Ah Sa-nyeo, transforming a beloved ally into the drama's primary supernatural threat.
• The Saryeong Revelation: The black bell that chimed between Oh-gong and Seon-mi was the death bell (Saryeong), confirming that one was destined to kill the other. Oh-gong resolves to defy heaven by preparing to take the fatal blow intended for her.
• Climax & Finale: Kang Dae-sung attempts to awaken the evil Black Dragon using Sam-jang's blood. Seon-mi intervenes to absorb the malevolence and is murdered by Kang. Enraged, Oh-gong obliterates the dragon alone, falling into catatonic memory loss from the trauma. Upon regaining his memories, he successfully removes the Geumganggo himself, proving his love was completely independent of the artifact. Giving one of his fiery eyes to Seon-mi’s spirit so he can find her anywhere, Oh-gong retrieves his magical staff and drives his sports car into the underworld to reclaim her soul.
