Set in 1982—four years after Finney Blake survived and killed the sadistic child murderer known as The Grabber—Black Phone 2 explores the deep emotional scars left on the Blake household. While seventeen-year-old Finney attempts to numb his lingering post-traumatic stress and sudden bursts of combative rage, his fifteen-year-old sister Gwen begins experiencing vivid, disturbing clairvoyant nightmares and sleepwalking episodes.
Her visions reveal a snowbound Colorado camp called Alpine Lake, where three young boys were murdered decades earlier, and where Gwen hears a disconnected black telephone ringing relentlessly from beyond the veil. Accompanied by Ernesto—the younger brother of Robin, one of The Grabber’s previous victims—the siblings journey into the Rocky Mountains to investigate the mysterious camp.
Upon arrival, a sudden, blinding blizzard isolates the teenagers alongside camp manager Armando "Mando," his niece Mustang, and two devout caretakers. Cut off from the outside world, the group realizes that death has not extinguished The Grabber; instead, an unresolved past and lingering terror have allowed a sinister entity to bridge the dream realm and the physical world.
