Key beats found in the research: In Season 1, Shido is killed protecting Tohka and is revived with healing flames. In Season 3, Origami accepts Phantom's offer to become a Spirit, then travels to the past and discovers that her own attack killed her parents, and so she becomes the Inverse form Devil. Season 5 opens with Kurumi and her clone army going to war with DEM, and with Westcott trying to kill both her and Shido. I did not research the details of the final episodes beyond this, so the specifics of the finale are not covered here.
A bright, kinetic romantic-comedy fantasy where love is the only weapon against apocalypse, and every kiss lands like a sunrise breaking over a shattered city.

Alternative Interpretations
Some viewers see the show as a straightforward harem comedy with a sci-fi wrapper. Others read it as a sincere story about acceptance, in which the dating gimmick is a metaphor for emotional healing. Some also note that the anime ending leaves out material from the novels, such as explanations about Tohka and what happens to the Spirits' crystals afterward, so the ending can be read as incomplete.
