The narrative begins when Kyung-mi witnesses the aftermath of Do-sik abducting So-jung in a dark alley. Stepping in to help, Kyung-mi inadvertently draws Do-sik's bloodlust toward herself and her mother.
At the police precinct, Do-sik wears a sharp suit and effortlessly fools the oblivious officers by pretending to search for his own sister, turning suspicion away from himself. After a violent confrontation, Do-sik tracks Kyung-mi and her mother home, creating a psychological showdown by forcing Jong-tak to choose between rescuing his bleeding sister So-jung or protecting Kyung-mi, causing Kyung-mi to flee into the city alone.
In the climax at a bustling pedestrian plaza, Kyung-mi recognizes that running is futile. She intentionally drops her weapon and allows Do-sik to stab her in plain view of dozens of onlookers. This public spectacle destroys Do-sik's charming facade, prompting the horrified crowd to intervene and allowing Jong-tak to subdue him before the police arrive. Kyung-mi, her mother, Jong-tak, and the surviving So-jung finally travel to Jeju Island together for their long-awaited peaceful vacation.
