The series resolves its central mysteries through several interlocking narrative reveals:
- The Causal Time Loop: The mystery connects Da-hae’s survival of the high school fire 13 years prior with Gwi-ju's destiny. Da-hae always remembered being rescued by a mysterious, soot-covered man who gave her a specific ring, who was actually Gwi-ju traveling back from the future.
- Da-hae’s Fake Death: In Episode 10, after discovering Man-heum's prophetic dream foretelling Gwi-ju’s death in the fire, Da-hae stages a car accident and fakes her demise to break Gwi-ju's attachment and spare his life. Gwi-ju unravels the ruse and reunites with her, affirming that he will not run from his fate.
- The Climax & Sacrifice: During I-na's school dance competition, a fire hazard triggers a crisis mirroring the past. Gwi-ju uses the temporal window to jump back 13 years into the burning school building, successfully rescuing the teenage Da-hae and placing the ring in her hand before seemingly disappearing into the collapsing flames.
- The Epilogue & Nu-ri's Power: Five years later, Da-hae is raising her and Gwi-ju’s young son, Bok Nu-ri. Nu-ri manifests the inherited supernatural gift to reach into past temporal spaces and pull physical objects and people into the present. In the closing scene, Nu-ri reaches into a temporal void and pulls Gwi-ju back into the present day, reuniting the family.
