The Victim's Tragedy: Early in the film, Cho Sung-jae attempts to escape the Philippines gambling compound but is cornered and stabbed to death by Baek Chang-gi. Back in Seoul, Cho's mother visits Detective Ma, begging him to find her missing son. Shortly after, overcome by grief, she dies by suicide, leaving a note that deeply affects Ma and solidifies his personal motivation.

The Honeypot Operation: Realizing they cannot breach the offshore encrypted servers, Detective Ma uses Jang Yi-soo's former gang connections and casino expertise to set up an illegal, bait online casino site based in South Korea. This honeypot draws out Chang Dong-cheol's network and forces Baek Chang-gi to return to Korea to sabotage the competition.

The Mastermind Betrayal: Chang Dong-cheol attempts to cheat Baek Chang-gi out of his fair share of the cryptocurrency launch dividends. In response, Baek Chang-gi and his mercenary enforcer Jason raid Chang's executive office in Seoul. Baek brutally murders Chang Dong-cheol and takes full control of the financial assets.

The Climax on the Flight: Knowing the police are closing in, Baek Chang-gi and his second-in-command buy first-class tickets on an international flight to escape. Detective Ma pulls strings with authorities to board the aircraft minutes before departure. Inside the confined first-class cabin, Ma engages in a fight against Baek and his knife-wielding enforcer. After enduring blade cuts, Ma breaks Baek’s wrist, knocks him out with a devastating knee strike, and hands him over to the authorities.

The "Copaganda" Critique: Several international film critics interpreted the film as modern "copaganda" that glorifies police brutality and the violation of civil rights. In this view, Ma Seok-do’s routine extrajudicial violence, coercion, and disregard for procedure are framed as harmless comedy, reinforcing a paternalistic belief that authoritarian force is necessary to fix societal ills.

Systemic Failure Reading: Conversely, another popular interpretation argues that Detective Ma's extreme actions highlight the inherent helplessness and slow pace of official legal frameworks. As Ma himself notes in the film, "Law cannot outrun crime; we just try to catch up through effort". From this perspective, Ma’s fists represent a desperate compensatory mechanism for a judicial system unable to protect innocent citizens from borderless, tech-driven cartels.
