Set more than a decade after the Na’vi repelled the human invasion on the moon Pandora, Jake Sully lives in peace as the leader of the Omatikaya clan alongside Neytiri and their children. Their tranquil forest life is abruptly shattered when the Resources Development Administration (RDA) returns in force, establishing a heavily fortified industrial hub and deploying "Recombinants"—cloned Na’vi avatars embedded with the memories and military training of fallen human soldiers.
To protect their people and remove their family from the crosshairs of a vengeful manhunt, Jake relinquishes his tribal leadership and leads his family across the moon’s vast oceans. They seek refuge among the Metkayina, an oceanic reef-dwelling clan adapted to marine life. In this unfamiliar world, the Sully family must adapt to oceanic customs, master the art of underwater breathing, and forge new bonds with marine fauna while constantly guarding against human pursuit.
As tensions between the RDA's destructive industrial expansion and Pandora's pristine ecosystems reach a boiling point, the Sullys discover that fleeing danger only delays the inevitable confrontation. The film charts their journey of cultural adaptation, generational friction, and the unyielding instinct to protect one’s kin against overwhelming technological odds.
