Kali: Avenging Angel (Kali, L'ange de la Vengeance) begins with a devastating tragedy. Éric, a French customs officer investigating a massive international falsified pharmaceutical network in Brazil, is brutally executed in front of the French Embassy in Rio de Janeiro. French and Brazilian authorities quickly label the execution a drug-cartel shootout, insinuating Éric was caught up in local criminal rivalries to quietly close the case.
Unwilling to accept the official narrative, his wife Lisa—a former Special Forces counter-terrorism recruit code-named "Kali"—knows Éric was entirely clean. Grief-stricken, betrayed by bureaucratic indifference, and with nothing left to lose, Lisa equips herself with weapons and explosives and boards a flight to Rio.
Guided by her tactical expertise and assisted by close allies back home, Lisa's search for answers plunges her deep into Brazil's criminal underworld. Her pursuit takes her from the dense, maze-like favelas of Rio to the humid fringes of the Amazon jungle. As she dismantles the syndicate piece by piece, Lisa realizes her personal vendetta collides with a deadly corporate conspiracy that puts thousands of innocent lives at risk.
