Project Silence (2024) begins on a treacherous, fog-shrouded night on the Grand Airport Bridge connecting Incheon to Seoul. Cha Jung-won, a high-ranking presidential aide and widower, is driving his teenage daughter Kyung-min to the airport so she can pursue her music studies in Australia. Their strained journey comes to a sudden, violent halt when zero-visibility weather triggers a chaotic, multi-vehicle pileup, stranding hundreds of motorists on a stretch of highway suspended high above the sea.
The physical trap turns lethal when a covert military transport convoy involved in the pileup breaks open. Inside are "Echoes"—genetically enhanced, bio-engineered Cane Corso hunting dogs bred as military assassins under a top-secret state initiative code-named Project Silence. Equipped with auditory neural implants, these ruthless canines go rogue. A botched military extraction causes a rescue helicopter to crash directly into the bridge’s support towers, snapping main cables, rupturing fuel tanks, and leaving the structure on the verge of collapsing into the waters below.
Trapped between a plunging bridge, toxic gas leaks, and a pack of relentless killer dogs, Jung-won must unite an eclectic group of survivors. Among them are an eccentric tow-truck driver, an unethical scientist, a professional golfer with her manager, and an elderly couple. To survive the night, Jung-won is forced to face not only the physical monsters hunting them in the mist, but also the dark political cover-ups he once helped enforce.
