Love and Leashes (모럴센스, Moral Sense), directed by Park Hyun-jin and adapted from the popular webtoon by Gyeoul, is a South Korean romantic comedy that takes an unconventional look into modern intimacy, workplace dynamics, and BDSM subcultures. Set inside a corporate public relations firm, the story introduces Jung Ji-woo (Seohyun), a diligent and straightforward employee who routinely faces workplace microaggressions for refusing to conform to docile gender expectations. Her daily routine shifts upon the arrival of Jung Ji-hoo (Lee Jun-young), a cheerful, polite, and universally well-liked colleague whose similar name sets off an accidental chain reaction.
When a misdelivered corporate parcel leads Ji-woo to inadvertently discover Ji-hoo’s private delivery containing spiked fetish gear, Ji-hoo fears professional and personal ruin. However, Ji-woo’s calm, non-judgmental demeanor prompts Ji-hoo to make a startling request: he asks if she would consider entering a consensual, three-month non-sexual dominant/submissive (Dom/Sub) contract with him.
Hesitant yet curious—and quietly harboring romantic feelings for him—Ji-woo agrees. As the two establish ground rules, negotiate boundaries, and engage in escalating roleplay sessions after hours, their strictly defined contractual arrangement blurs the line between theatrical dominance and genuine emotional attachment, forcing both to confront who they truly are behind their corporate personas.
