As MK Enterprise falls apart, Han-ul tries to protect small-time boss Nam Bae-soo from Dok-go's hitmen by faking Bae-soo's death. Meanwhile, tech investor Benjamin Jo manipulates Jae-i. To force a confrontation that eliminates Dok-go and allows his own software firm (Meta Software/JB Ent) to dominate, Benjamin cuts his assistant's hand with a knife and sends the bloodied blade to Dok-go, framing Jae-i for declaring a fight to the death.
Understanding the setup, Han-ul attempts to mediate, but the tension explodes into a brutal three-way battle at MK Enterprise's training facility between Han-ul, Jae-i, and Dok-go. During the battle, Dok-go is fatally wounded; Jae-i delivers the final strike, tearfully realizing that despite his cruelty, Dok-go was the only father figure she had ever known.
After the duel, Han-ul intercepts Benjamin in his car, confronting the mastermind behind the scheme. Rather than continuing their joint company, Jae-i decides to take over leadership of the reconstructed MK Enterprise herself—finally stepping out of Han-ul’s shadow to become the top authority on her own terms. Han-ul accepts her choice and walks away, leaving their relationship permanently altered and distant.
