Miraculous World: Paris, Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir is an animated superhero film special directed by Thomas Astruc and Jeremy Zag. Chronologically positioned within the fifth season of the flagship franchise (between the episodes Destruction and Jubilation), the narrative introduces the multiverse into the Paris continuity. When an interdimensional breach is forced open, the prime universe’s Paris becomes the focal battleground for cross-dimensional counterparts whose moral dynamics and worldview are entirely inverted.
From a dystopian parallel reality ruled by an authoritarian entity known as "The Supreme," two traumatized, cynical wielders of the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses—Shadybug and Claw Noir—hunt down a heroic resistance leader named Betterfly (the alternate Gabriel Agreste). Seeking the ultimate power to rewrite their desperate lives, Shadybug and Claw Noir cross dimensions to conquer prime Paris and seize the local Miraculouses, forming a fleeting, perilous alliance with the prime universe’s Monarch.
To defend their city and restore interdimensional equilibrium, Ladybug (Marinette Dupain-Cheng) and Cat Noir (Adrien Agreste) join forces with Betterfly and alternate allies. Rather than fighting merely to subdue an external threat, the heroes must confront the darkest possibilities of their own identities, using radical empathy and understanding to alter the destinies of their parallel selves before Monarch can harvest multiversal power.
