Twists, Plot Turns, and Climax: After Stan assaults Jen, Richard arrives and attempts to defuse the situation by offering Jen $100,000 and a job in Los Angeles to keep quiet. When Jen refuses and demands a helicopter to take her home immediately, she runs into the desert canyon. Cornered on the edge of a cliff, Richard shoves her off. She falls through the air and lands impaled on the sharp limb of a dead tree.
Believing her dead, the men return to retrieve the body, but Jen uses a lighter to burn through the branch, freeing herself. She staggers to a cave, eats hallucinogenic peyote roots to numb her pain, and heats a peyote soda can to cauterize her gaping wound, branding herself with an eagle logo.
The Hunts and Kills:
- Dimitri: Jen stalks Dimitri near a river canyon. After an underwater struggle, she stabs him directly in both eyes with a hunting knife—retribution for his refusal to look at her assault.
- Stan: Stan pursues Jen through the desert rocks. Jen scatters shattered flashlight glass along a narrow pass; Stan steps on it, driving a massive shard into his foot. Weakened and limping, Stan is executed by Jen with a shotgun blast to the head.
- Richard: The final showdown takes place inside the glass villa. Richard strips completely naked to wash away blood in the shower. A cat-and-mouse hunt ensues through the white hallways, coating the entire house in torrents of red blood. Jen shoots Richard in the stomach, and as he tries to pursue her, he slips in his own blood on the slick floor. Jen stands over him and shoots him dead.
Ending Meaning: The film concludes with Jen stepping onto the bloody patio bathed in sunlight as Richard’s helicopter arrives. Having completely destroyed her abusers, she stands victorious, transformed from a disposable mistress into an empowered survivor.
