The Ancient Joseon Prologue (1507): The story reveals that five centuries ago, Master Bochun guarded the young maiden Narin, born with the divine Yeouiju marking. On her 20th birthday, she was destined to give her spirit to a benevolent Imoogi to elevate it into a Celestial Dragon. However, the corrupt Imoogi Buraki unleashed the demonic Atrox Army to steal the orb. Rather than surrendering her to the Good Imoogi, her sworn protector Haram fled with her; cornered on a seaside cliff by Buraki, the lovers chose to jump to their deaths, depriving both beasts of the power and forcing a 500-year reincarnation cycle.
Modern Los Angeles Devastation: In modern-day California, Ethan discovers Sarah Daniels on her 20th birthday. Buraki invades Los Angeles, climbing skyscrapers and tearing through downtown while the Atrox Army (flying Bulcoos and armored ground troops) clashes with US National Guard tanks and Apache attack helicopters.
The Grand Canyon Climax & Transformation: Ethan and Sarah are captured and transported to Buraki’s dark, otherworldly sacrificial temple in the desert. When the dark forces prepare the sacrifice, Ethan's mystical dragon amulet flares with celestial lightning, annihilating the Atrox ground army. The benevolent Good Imoogi emerges to fight Buraki in a brutal serpentine duel but is overpowered. Realizing there is no escape, Sarah willingly yields her soul, projecting the glowing Yeouiju orb into the wounded Good Imoogi. Infused with divine essence, the Good Imoogi transforms into a four-legged, horned, glowing Celestial Korean Dragon, incinerating Buraki with heavenly fire. Sarah’s spirit briefly appears from the orb to bid farewell before ascending into heaven with the dragon, leaving Ethan standing alone in the desert having fulfilled his ancient oath.
