Nearly thirty years after the original Woodsboro massacres, Scream 7 refocuses the franchise on original protagonist Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). Sidney has built a quiet, peaceful life in the small town of Pine Grove, Indiana, where she operates a local coffee shop and lives with her police chief husband, Mark Evans (Joel McHale), and her 17-year-old daughter, Tatum (Isabel May). Seeking to shield her daughter from the horrific legacy that defined her youth, Sidney keeps her traumatic past locked away, creating a growing emotional rift between mother and daughter.
The fragile calm shatters when a new Ghostface killer emerges in Pine Grove. The killer begins targeting those closest to Sidney—specifically placing Tatum in the crosshairs. Worse still, Sidney receives terrifying video phone calls featuring the likeness and voice of Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard), one of the original 1996 killers long believed dead.
As terror grips the town, veteran investigative journalist Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) arrives on the scene, alongside surviving film enthusiasts Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding). Together, they must navigate a bloody maze of digital deception, media obsession, and unresolved trauma before Ghostface claims Sidney's family once and for all.
