The narrative reaches a breaking point when Cody and his crew hijack a cartel beer truck expecting cash, only to uncover a massive shipment of illegal narcotics, drawing the immediate wrath of cartel commanders Benito and Natalia.

In a climactic twist, Teresa reveals her true allegiance as a cartel-linked operative, kidnapping Deni to force a hostage exchange at the border smuggling tunnel. Ray and Wash uncover the truth and intercept the exchange just as a violent clash erupts between federal agents and cartel hitmen. In the ensuing firefight, Benito is gunned down and Natalia is killed as Ray reaches his son.
