Badland Hunters — Ending Explained

The Apartment Scam: Volunteer workers lure teenagers and their families with promises of clean water. Parents are forced into manual labor in the basement while teenagers are taken for experiments on upper floors.

The Experiment & Flaw: Dr. Yang extracts neurological fluid from living teenagers fed contaminated water to create an immortality serum, keeping his dead daughter's upper torso functional and granting guards regenerative powers. When Su-na refuses to drink the contaminated water, Dr. Yang's extraction process yields contaminated serum.

The Climax & Downfall: Nam-san, Ji-wan, and Sgt. Eun-ho storm the apartment. Nam-san decapitates the regenerative soldiers with his machete and shotgun. In the lab struggle, Dr. Yang accidentally shoots his daughter's life-support apparatus, destroying her remains. As Dr. Yang flees into the courtyard, he is killed by angry survivors and Nam-san.

The Resolution: Rain falls across the badlands after Dr. Yang's defeat, bringing natural clean water. Nam-san, Ji-wan, and Su-na return to the bus district to form a family unit.
