Bugonia

Bugonia centers on Teddy Gatz (Jesse Plemons), a socially isolated amateur beekeeper and low-level warehouse worker living in rural Georgia. Distraught by the mysterious collapse of his beehives and haunted by a corporate clinical trial that left his mother in a coma, Teddy descends into internet conspiracy theories. Convinced that planet Earth is being secretly infiltrated and systematically destroyed by an alien species from the Andromeda galaxy, he identifies a target: Michelle Fuller (Emma Stone), the high-powered CEO of the pharmaceutical megacorporation Auxolith.

Recruiting his impressionable, neurodivergent cousin Don (Aidan Delbis), Teddy ambushes Michelle and abducts her. They transport her to a crudely retrofitted basement, shave her head, and slather her in antihistamine cream to block what Teddy believes are extraterrestrial transmission signals. Teddy informs Michelle that she has four days before an upcoming lunar eclipse to contact her extraterrestrial leader and negotiate an end to the alien invasion.

As Michelle uses her corporate composure and negotiation skills to survive, a psychological game of chess unfolds between captive and captors. The power dynamics constantly shift as Michelle tries to manipulate the duo while they struggle with their own unraveling sanity, setting off a chain of tense interrogations and unexpected escalations.
