The narrative begins with Oh Ji-soo running a secret compensated dating brokering ring via an encrypted app under the pseudonym "Uncle," with Lee Wang-chul providing security and classmate Seo Min-hee working as one of his providers. Bae Gyu-ri uncovers Ji-soo's burner phone and blackmails him into a partnership.
The operation derails when Ji-soo's abusive, gambling-addict father steals his entire 60 million won savings. Desperate for funds, Gyu-ri attempts to recruit classmates, bringing the teens into the crosshairs of ruthless mob boss Ryu Dae-yeol and his Banana Karaoke syndicate. Dae-yeol attempts a hostile takeover, prompting Mr. Lee to stage a violent rescue at a motel where both he and Dae-yeol sustain fatal injuries.
In the aftermath, Min-hee discovers a voice recording identifying Ji-soo as "Uncle." During a tense confrontation on a staircase, Min-hee falls and sustains fatal head trauma as Detective Lee Hae-gyoung investigates. Seeking revenge for Min-hee, Kwak Ki-tae ambushes Ji-soo in his apartment and repeatedly stabs him with a box cutter. Gyu-ri arrives to incapacitate Ki-tae and drags the critically wounded Ji-soo away. When police enter, they find only bloodstains and an empty terrarium, leaving Ji-soo and Gyu-ri vanished into the night.
