Deliver Us from Evil — Ending Explained

After completing an assassination in Japan, In-nam discovers his former partner has been murdered in Thailand and their biological daughter Yoo-min has been kidnapped by child organ traffickers. Meanwhile, Ray "The Butcher" tracks In-nam to avenge his slain brother.

In Bangkok, In-nam partners with Yui, locates the organ-harvesting facility, and slaughters the syndicate members to rescue Yoo-min just before surgery. Ray ambushes them, leading to an intense vehicular and corridor confrontation. In the climax, a mortally wounded In-nam traps himself and Ray inside a vehicle and detonates a hand grenade, killing them both.

Before the final showdown, In-nam provided Yui with his funds and travel documents. In the ending, Yui honors his sacrifice, taking Yoo-min to In-nam’s dream home in Panama to raise her in safety.

The film can be analyzed through two distinct thematic lenses:
