Throughout the series, suspicion for In-han's death is cast heavily on Kim Ri-an and Jung Jae-i; however, the actual killer is revealed to be Teacher Han Ji-soo. In-han had accidentally discovered Ji-soo's illicit romantic affair with student Lee Woo-jin. Fearing professional and social ruin, Ji-soo panicked, chased In-han in her car, and struck him.
Meanwhile, Jung Jae-i's cold demeanor is explained by severe blackmail concerning an unexpected pregnancy from her past relationship with Ri-an, which threatened to disgrace her chaebol family. In the climax, Kang Ha secures the critical footage and exposes Han Ji-soo to the police. Woo-jin comes forward, Ri-an cooperates with authorities to face his bullying complicity, and Jae-i walks away from her oppressive father to find peace with her estranged mother.
However, the finale concludes with a shocking post-credits scene: a male student is discovered murdered inside a Jooshin classroom, and Ri-an receives an anonymous text reading, "You look shaken up, Kim Ri-an," confirming that the violence and blackmail at Jooshin High remain unresolved.
