The dramatic conflict centers on Oh Jin-shim being falsely framed in a drug scandal by Lee Kang-joon, an obsessive chaebol heir whose advances she rejected. In Episodes 11 and 12, Kang-joon resurfaces to stalk and confront Jin-shim in her home. Jung-rok physically intervenes, and alongside prosecutor Kim Se-won, secures an ironclad criminal indictment that imprisons Kang-joon and permanently clears Jin-shim's name.
In Episode 13, Jin-shim's manager persuades Jung-rok that dating rumors could derail her comeback, prompting a noble-idiocy breakup. However, Jin-shim quickly deduces his protective intent and confronts him on set in Episode 15, resulting in their reconciliation.
