Ares chooses not to stay with ENCOM; fully permanent and autonomous, he rides a Ducati motorcycle into the world. He pulls out an updated photograph of Quorra, setting off on a quest to locate Sam Flynn and Quorra in human society. In the mid-credits scene, Julian Dillinger awakens inside the digital wreckage of his server, where he is greeted by red code fragments reforming into the Master Control Program / Sark, laying the groundwork for a future grid war.
