Unstoppable (성난황소, lit. "Angry Bull") is a 2018 South Korean action-crime thriller written and directed by Kim Min-ho in his feature directorial debut. The film stars Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) as Kang Dong-cheol, a reformed underworld enforcer who has put his violent history behind him to live a quiet life as a hardworking fish distributor. Dong-cheol is devoted to his sensible and loving wife, Ji-soo (Song Ji-hyo), though his naive pursuit of get-rich-quick business ventures frequently strains their modest household finances.
The fragile normalcy of their domestic life shatters after an accidental road encounter with Gi-tae (Kim Sung-oh), a psychopathic mastermind running an illicit human trafficking syndicate. Fixated on Ji-soo, Gi-tae orchestrates her violent abduction. In a twisted reversal of conventional ransom tropes, the kidnapper leaves Dong-cheol with a hefty bag of cash—offering to "buy" his wife rather than demanding payment for her release.
When sluggish official police channels fail to produce immediate leads, Dong-cheol realizes the law cannot move fast enough to save his wife. Reawakening his dormant combat prowess, Dong-cheol enlists his loyal best friend Choon-sik (Park Ji-hwan) and an eccentric private investigator/broker, Inspector Gom / President Gom (Kim Min-jae). Together, the trio embarks on a high-stakes hunt through Seoul's illicit gambling dens, hidden warehouses, and trafficking routes to retrieve Ji-soo before she vanishes forever.
