Season 1 Secrets & Climax: Dong-gu initially hides his growing feelings for Yoon-ah out of fear of burdening a single mother. After overcoming his own pride and surviving competition from a handsome pastry instructor (Song Hyun-joon), Dong-gu confesses. Yoon-ah initially rejects him out of fear for her daughter's future, but eventually embraces him, forming a loving family unit.
Joon-ki and Seo-jin's secret romance is nearly exposed multiple times to Dong-gu, who threatened to destroy anyone who dates his sister. When Dong-gu finally discovers them kissing, his initial rage gives way to tearful acceptance upon realizing how genuinely Joon-ki cherishes her.
After being scammed by her ex-boyfriend, fashion model Soo-ah loses everything and hits rock bottom. Season 2 Transition & Climax: Off-screen between seasons, the original Season 1 crew moved on with their respective careers and lives. Joon-ki remains the sole manager at Waikiki, dragging high school friends Woo-sik and Ki-bong into investing.
Woo-sik has secretly loved Han Soo-yeon since high school. After her wealthy family goes bankrupt and her wedding is canceled, she moves into Waikiki. Woo-sik supports her journey from spoiled socialite to hardworking adult, culminating in a romantic relationship.
Woo-sik's manipulative older sister Cha Yoo-ri and dim-witted baseball player Ki-bong unexpectedly sleep together after drinking, resulting in an accidental pregnancy. Ki-bong steps up responsibly, they fall in love, open a restaurant, and prepare for marriage.
